How about salaries on wallstreet? A new Financial MBA still commands 100 to 150 K with perks.

What is the difference between "Instructors" and "New Doctorates"? Also, why to "instructors" get paid so much less? What does ABD stand for?

Instructors are usually graduate students, part-time non-PhD faculty, or full-time non-PhD faculty. New doctorates are new hires that have recently graduated with their PhD and are likely teaching and researching at a business school. Instructors are paid less because they usually lack the doctoral level education, therefore; they do not contribute to research activities at the school. ABD stands for "all but dissertation." This means that a student went all the way through (or mostly) a PhD program and did not finish or pass their dissertation portion. Their research may have been flawed or the committee turned down their paper/findings.
